Wayne Kingston - Principal

Mr. Kingston has over 15 years experience in the field of Information Technology (IT) focused on the integration of technology with business processes to optimize production. Wayne is experienced in project management of company-wide technology initiatives with the following key areas of competence: Vision; Excellent Communication Skills; Strategic Planning; and Consistent Delivery.

Most recently, Wayne's technical focus has been on leveraging existing corporate data to enhance the effectiveness of the business model. Using Data Warehousing and Web Portal technologies to substantially increase information availability, a business is able to better serve its employees, customer and partners.Before starting his practice, Mr. Kingston served as Director of Technology for DoubleStar Inc.

As the Technology Steward his responsibilities included development of processes for growth and maturation of service offerings. The major accomplishment was the development of a Custom Client/Server Solution Practice and then evolving it into an eBusiness Solutions Practice.

As the Technical Overseer he served as Solution Consultant and Delivery Manager for named accounts and new accounts. Clients included: DuPont, DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Uniqema, Bank of America, Citibank, FirstUSA, Fidelity, SEI, Computer Sciences Corp, Accenture, and Lockheed Martin.

As Technical Lead he was responsible for and implemented the entire lifecycle of projects.
Projects included:

• A web based Corporate Workplace Safety self-service/workflow solution. This solution supports a 2500 employee user base. It was developed using Oracle 8, IBM Websphere Application server and Netscape Server employing a JSP/Servlet approach.
• A web based Demand Forecasting solution. This solution supported forecasting and budgeting of business support services for over thirty business units. A Java Applet approach was used to implement a spreadsheet paradigm that supported recording, processing and reporting of resource forecasting and budgeting needs.
• A business management data warehouse to support Finance, Sales and Marketing, and Purchasing departments for a Specialty Chemical Manufacturer. This solution incorporated MRP, Finance and Inventory data into an Oracle / Brio warehouse to present timely, concise and accurate "heartbeat" metrics for the organization.

Before DoubleStar, Mr. Kingston was a Managing Consultant at ICON Solutions. His major responsibilities were the Delivery of custom solutions to a variety of clients from Major Corporations. The typical delivery cycle includes the Scope Definition, Feasibility Analysis, Iterative Prototyping and Staged Rollouts.
Projects included:

• An Affiliate Management System for a Major Cable Programming Provider.
• A Chemical Tracking and Reporting System for a major producer of commercial gases.
• A Specials Trading Traders DeskTop for a major International Financial Institution.
• A Contract Management for an International Record Company.
• A Repertoire Management System for an International Record Company.

Before ICON, Mr. Kingston was a Developer/Consultant at Taratec Development Corp. At Taratec Mr. Kingston functioned as a Developer or Lead Developer for client/server and Vax based applications.
Clients included: DuPont, Dupont Merck, Xerox, Caterpillar and Schering Plough.

Wayne holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Villanova University.
