Could your Company stand to be more efficient and cost-effective?
The operations of your organization may need fine-tuning to reduce inefficiencies. Our strategy is to analyze your current operations and suggest improvements. When desired, we can step in to manage and implement changes, so your employees are free to perform other tasks.

If you're not ready for a full time person to deal with quality assurance, safety compliance and supply chain management. M. Arthur can get your company started and show you how to implement the necessary tasks to keep competitive.

Project/Program Management

Organizations can improve project completion, quality and cost performance by:

Recognizing that Project Management is a comprehensive skill set learned and developed by individuals over time through education and experience and consists of a standard set of methodologies.

Recognizing that project management skills are not necessarily known by the people assigned to manage the project.

Using a standard set of methodologies within the organization by way of establishing and communicating an acceptable and simple process for managing its projects.

The methodology M. Arthur Consulting Group uses is to Plan, Monitor, Control and Re-plan. In each of these steps, we follow a defined set of goals to assure your project/program is managed effectively. Let us help you manage your next project or enrich your employees by offering one of our Project Management Seminars.

Be a leader in Safety
An effective safety program can strengthen your company in a host of different ways - from saving you money, reducing down time, and liability, to lifting moral. Let us look at your current safety program to determine whether you are adequately protected from liabilities and ensure your employees are working under safe conditions. We can initiate and implement a safety program and then document all the procedures in a manual.

Facts
Many states offer discounts on Worker's Comp premiums when you implement a qualified safety program. In the state of PA, for example, you can save 5% per year for 5 years on your workers' comp premium with proof of a qualified safety program. In many instances, our service is free. That is, your rebate more than pays for our consulting services.

  • Reduce your insurance premium
  • Decrease your legal liability
  • Satisfy your customers' requests for proof of a qualified safety program
  • Reduce OSHA citations

Your Challenge

  • Starting a qualified safety program & decreasing liability without hiring another person.
  • Improving your current safety program to increase safety and decrease recordable injuries.
  • Outsourcing the administration of your Safety Compliance program.

Our Solutions
We can initiate a safety program, augment your current program OR manage your safety compliance as an outsourced function. This might include: leading your monthly safety programs; documenting all safety activities; and/or implementing all required written material. We can help you develop and implement a wide variety of policies and procedures to ensure a high quality safety/training program meeting OSHA requirements. In most cases, the workers' comp discount we secure for you will pay for our service, save you headaches and save you money.

SAFETY TRAINING
Take advantage of our comprehensive safety training programs. Most topics last 1-2 hours and can be held on site. Choose the topics that are right for your company, but don't miss Right-To-Know (RTN). This is always on the top 10 citations list published by OSHA - since most companies do not have a comprehensive policy or miss it altogether. Employees have the Right To Know about any chemicals they are using - down to the janitorial staff's right to know about the chemicals in their cleaning products. No company can afford to ignore RTN.

Our RTN training gives you 3 manuals--a detailed safety director's version, a condensed version for employees, and a summary version used during the training. During the training, we help your employees understand the compliance labels used on containers, we explain dangerous situations, and we show a video to emphasize dangerous situations. We also document the training via a "test"...that is, the employees are able to answer all the questions by using their manual. In turn, we document the training for you to keep in your files. Documentation is CRITICAL in the event of an OSHA audit. Typically, this training takes 2-3 hours per 15 employees. Special arrangements can be made depending on your situation.

Training Topics:

RTN Right To Know
accident investigation hearing protection
asbestos heat stress
bloodborne pathogens ladder safety
confined space lockout/tagout
emergency procedures lifting and moving
emergency exits electric plug safety
eye protection portable electric equipment
fall protection power hand tools
fire extinguishers rubber glove safety
forklift driving safety shoes
head protection power transmission and distribution

Compete with other suppliers and become a qualified JIT supplier .
We'll walk you through the JIT vendor qualifying steps.
Typically, you'll start with 25% of the most
expensive and/or highest defect rate parts and
select 3 to 5 current vendors for a each one. You'll interview the vendors and then select one...and only one. You'll understand that price is not the main criteria.

Get Control of Your Inventory
We'll help you control your inventory via systems such as min-max inventory levels and suggest improvement to your current purchasing/inventory strategies. These changes don't need to be extensive...simple methodologies often produce dramatic results. We'll work with your major vendors--often, they have programs where they'll manage your inventory in your warehouse. For example, one of their employees will stop by your warehouse on a weekly basis, perform a quick inventory audit, and restock your inventory accordingly.
